AEDA created the Exterior Improvements Grant program to support businesses and/or property owners that are making capital improvements to the exterior of their property, which in turn improves the Arvada community. The 50/50 matching grant program leverages AEDA funds and private-sector investment to enhance commercial properties in Arvada.
The intended use for this grant is to stop, halt or prevent the deterioration of buildings and structures within the DDA boundaries, while providing a pleasant experience for downtown residents, businesses and visitors. The DDA will match 50% of project costs up to $2,500 per grant.
A one-time $300 grant is available to City of Golden businesses that retrofit existing non-LED lighting fixtures to the LED technology. Often, the ROI of a complete lighting retrofit is less than one year.
